Details of ‘Mr. Taxi’ Version of Girls’ Generation’s Third Album Revealed

Girls’ Generation will be releasing a second version of their third album, entitled “Mr. Taxi”, on December 8th, 2011. The album will contain thirteen tracks with the addition of the English version of “The Boys”. The “Mr. Taxi” track will be moved to the first track, and the Korean version of “The Boys” track moved to the second.

During their promotions for “The Boys” earlier this year, Girls’ Generation also performed “Mr. Taxi” wearing outfits reminiscent of police officers. With the unveiling of the album cover, fans were excited to see that the group chose similar outfits for the concept of the second version of their album. In addition, while the concept for “The Boys” consisted of a unique outfit for each member, “Mr. Taxi” features a return to identical outfits.

Twitter users quickly reacted to news of the upcoming album release and to the revealing of the album cover, as “Mr. Taxi” trended worldwide at number four.

Director of "Love Rain" Praises YoonA's Acting Skills

A new still cut of SNSD's YoonA from the set of her new drama, "Love Rain," has just been revealed!

Directed by the leader of Hallyu dramas, Yoon Suk Ho, the drama is the director's first collaboration with writer Oh Soo Yeon in nearly 10 years. The beautiful teenage romance drama features the perfect setting for Yoona to show her charming acting skills and quiet, innocent beauty.

The picture in particular depicts Yoona as the character Kim Yoon Hee in the days of the 70s. With a shy smile and clear, warm eyes, it's obvious to anyone why she was cast for the role.

"It's my first drama in a while so I'm not only excited, but also pressured. I'm looking forward to it, as I know that it will come with more responsibilities. Director Yoon Suk Ho and my co-stars all help me out a lot so I'm able to participate comfortably. I'm adjusting well to the drama set. By using and getting familiar with the items of the 70s, I'm indirectly experiencing the life of young adults on a college campus in the 70s. This in itself is really fun," Yoona said.

Continuing, she added, "The moment I received the script, I knew that this would be a love story that viewers of all generations would be able to connect to. I'm going to work hard in hopes that the excitement I feel will be properly transferred to the viewers."

Director Yoon Suk Ho added, "Yoona has a clean, proper image that's hard to find these days. She exceeded my expectations in acting out the character of Yoon Hee, so I'm really proud and satisfied. After meeting Yoona in real life, I realized that she has a bright personality and plays a part in livening up the atmosphere of the set. When she's acting, however, she becomes deeply immersed in her role and aptly pulls everything together. I'd love to compliment her for being a young actress with such passion and concentration for her craft."

"Love Rain" is a drama that aims to parallel the love stories between the modern times and the days of the 70s. The drama is currently slated to begin airing in early 2012.

The award show, broadcasted live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium, included a red carpet event in which Girls’ Generation donned dazzling dresses and stunned viewers worldwide. Twitter users immediately responded, as “Omg SNSD” and “Girls Generation” quickly trended worldwide.

The award show also featured performances from many K-Pop artists, as well as artists from all over Asia. Girls’ Generation delivered an epic performance consisting of a “Girls become the Goddess” stage, as well as a remix of “The Boys” containing both English and Korean lyrics. The members displayed a powerful opening dance during the “Girls become the Goddess” stage, while demonstrating a lengthy dance break and their vocal talents during “The Boys”. The white dance outfits, the extended choreography, and fast paced remix caused widespread excitement among both fans attending the event and viewers worldwide.

In addition, Girls’ Generation also attended a press conference before the award show. They expressed their excitement at being able to perform at MAMA in front of their Singaporean fans and answered several questions presented by journalists from several different countries. The questions ranged from subjects such as their concert tour, producing more tracks in English, and even how long it takes to get their hair and makeup ready for performances. Perhaps most importantly, when asked how they envision themselves in five years and whether or not they would still be in the industry, Tiffany answered “I think we’ll all still be together, definitely still in the industry. We’re not going anywhere”.

With both the Best Female Group Award and Artist of the Year Award, Girls’ Generation once again has shown their incredible popularity and musical talent. Congratulations to Girls’ Generation!!
