SNSD's YoonA to Go Overseas for "Love Rain"

Upcoming drama “Love Rain” has received a lot of attention both at home and overseas for its stellar lineup, famous director, and popular screen writer. “Love Rain” stars hallyu star Jang Geun Suk and SNSD’s YoonA as its main leads and also includes “Super Star K’s” Seo In Gook, “Powerful Opponents’” Kim Si Hoo, “Spy Myung Wol’s” Son Eun Seo, and “Smile Mom’s” Hwang Bo Ra.

Producers of the series announced that there is a strong possibility that “Love Rain” will air on KBS once “Dream High 2” ends in March. Fast forward to the present, Seo Joon, In Ha’s son (also played by Jang Geun Suk) meets and falls in love with Ha Na, Yoon Hee’s daughter (also played by YoonA). Jang Geun Suk’s 1970s Seo In Ha is a romantic arts student who is willing to lay down his life for the love of his life. His son Seo Joon, on the other hand, is a carefree photographer who enjoys a freewheeling lifestyle. YoonA’s 1970s Kim Yoon Hee is a pure, elegant “campus goddess,” while her daughter Ha Na is a bright and lovable character.

Director Yoon Seok Ho and writer Oh Soo Yeon, the masterminds behind the sensational melodramas “Winter Sonata” and “Autumn in my Heart” have teamed up once again to produce “Love Rain.” With the combination of Jang Geun Suk, YoonA, director Yoon Seok Ho, and writer Oh Soo Yeon, it doesn't come as a surprise that “Love Rain” has already secured a Japanese broadcaster.

Yoona and Seohyun to Appear in SM Fashionistas’ Photoshoot

Yoona and Seohyun, along with SHINee’s Jonghyun and Taemin, f(x)’s Krystal and Sulli, and EXO, will be participating in the SM Fashionistas’ photoshoot with fashion magazine “W” for the French fashion brand “CARVEN”. They will be attempting an open studio shoot where it will be filmed and broadcasted live on January 19th and 21st, and will be aired through SMTown and W Korea’s Youtube channels. “CARVEN” will be launched in February in Korea, and the photoshoot pictures will be released through Facebook.

With brands such as J.ESTINA, Vita500, and SPAO, Girls’ Generation is no stranger to endorsements. Seohyun’s ad for The Face Shop had also appeared in November. Yoona, who is currently filming for her role in “Love Rain”, had endorsed for Innisfree and Eider, which she is currently modeling with actor Lee Minho.

Leeteuk predicted Girls’ Generation member Yoona would be a star

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk announced that even as a trainee, he had a good feeling that Girls’ Generation member Yoona would be a star.

On the January 10th episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart‘, Lee Teuk reminisced of his days as a SM Entertainment trainee and remarked, “Out of all the 200 SM trainees, I told two people that they would be successful. One of them was Go Ara, and the other was Yoona.”

Yoona Appointed As Ambassador of Seoul's Jung-Gu

Yoona, a member of Girls’ Generation, who is the leading force of K-Pop, has been appointed an honorary ambassador for Joong-gu, Seoul.

On January 9th, Mayor Choi Changsik presented Yoona with an official certificate of appointment in the press office, making her Joong-gu’s endorser. Mayor Choi Changsik said “I am overjoyed that a busy Hallyu star like Yoona accepted the position for Joong-gu. We have brought the greatest star to promote what is fittingly the heart of Seoul,” before leading the applause. Yoona said upon acceptance of her certificate, “I am grateful to be appointed an ambassador of Joong-gu, the center of Korea’s top tourist destination, Seoul.
